Delivery days
You must read the delivery information before placing an order. If you place an order and specify a delivery day outside of those given (e.g. a Saturday) we will try to agree an alternative delivery day (Tuesday to Friday). In the event that we cannot agree a suitable alternative we will refund the cost of your order less any transaction fees that we may incur. This normally only affects customers paying through NoChex and the partial refund would equate to the order value minus 2.9% minus £0.20.
Prices
The ‘total order cost’ displayed in your shopping basket and at the checkout stage is the price you pay. The packing and delivery charge is calculated by total order weight (including the weight of ice where required) and is included in the total.
Payment and security
Payment may be by cheque if you choose to post our printable order form, or by credit or debit card if you choose to pay online. Online payments are taken by PayPal or NoChex (depending which you choose) on our behalf and will always be made over a secure connection. This can be checked by viewing the closed padlock icon in most browsers, or checking that the address of the PayPal or NoChex site begins with ‘https’. A secure connection is not implied or required whilst you are viewing our own site since no sensitive information is exchanged.
We do not process card payments ourselves and never store card or bank details in any form. You do not need a PayPal account to pay through PayPal.
Distance selling regulations
Because of its very nature, fresh food sold online is excluded from the ‘cooling off period’ that applies to non-perishable goods. If however you wish to cancel an order that has not been dispatched please contact us as soon as possible.
Faulty goods
In the unlikely event that we supply a product that is faulty, we will refund the cost of the goods in full providing that we are satisfied that the goods supplied are indeed faulty. If however the delivery of the goods was delayed because you were not present to sign for or receive the order and this delay affects the quality of the goods, we will not be in a position to offer a refund.
Availability of goods
In the unlikely event that we have insufficient stock to fulfill your order we will contact you to offer a substitute, a delayed delivery date or a refund.
Claims of health benefits
Although the health benefits of eating shellfish as part of a well-balanced diet are widely recognised, this site does not claim to provide medical or any other health care advice, diagnosis or treatment. If in doubt please consult a qualified medical practitioner.
Using the site
We accept no liability for any loss, however caused, through the use of our web site beyond the value of any goods that you order.
Accessibilty
We have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure that our web site is accessible to as many people as possible and we welcome your feedback if you feel that we could do better. For full functionality of our online store you should ensure that javascript and cookies are enabled. The use and configuration of some popup blockers may prevent the viewing of larger images.
