Personal information
When you create an account we store your name, address, delivery address, email address, telephone number and password. Your password is encrypted and we cannot view it. The information is used to enable us to complete your order and is retained in our database should you wish to order from us again.
The information you supply to us is used soley by us and will not be divulged to 3rd parties without your consent, unless:
- It is required by a supplier for the sole purpose of fulfilling an order.
- Our shopping cart providers Vantech Media may view your address details during the course of maintenance or rectifying technical problems. Vantech Media will never knowingly divulge information about our customers to 3rd parties under any circumstances.
If you elect to receive occasional mailings from us, your email address is never divulged to 3rd parties except in the circumstances above.
Removal of personal information
If you would like us to delete your personal information, please contact us in writing using one of the methods on our contact page. We will remove it without question.
Cards and bank details
We do not collect or hold any information regarding your credit or debit cards, bank details or any financial details about you. All financial transactions are executed by our secure payment provider PayPal.
Cookies
Our site uses ‘session’ cookies to keep track of your shopping cart and ‘persistent’ cookies to store your Thornham Oysters username. Depending on your personal settings, session cookies expire at the end of your shopping session and persistent cookies remain on your computer unless you delete them. We do not use cookies to analyse your browsing or shopping habits or for marketing or for any purpose other than to maintain your shopping session and to provide a log in facility.
